Iken hires first Apprentice in association with QA

Iken is pleased to announce that this week marks the first time we have offered an Apprenticeship position within the business, continuing the tradition of providing routes to careers to candidates from a wide variety of backgrounds.

The successful candidate will be joining us on the 25th April as a Trainee 1st Line Support Analyst, working closely with our existing support team to learn and develop all the requisite skills on the job as well as attending classroom sessions with our Apprenticeship Provider QA.

We are excited to welcome a new member of the Support Team, as well as being able to offer guidance and help to someone who’s just starting out. I am sure they’ll have some new ideas too, it’s always good to get a fresh perspective!

– Anthony Evans, Support Team Leader

Working with QA, we were very impressed with the high quality of the candidates put forward for the role and the quality and content of the apprenticeship scheme itself, making both the apprenticeship route of talent recruitment and development, and the choice of provider an easy decision.

Among the wide range of reasons to hire Apprentices we believe that the new perspectives and ideas that they will bring to the team as well as their demonstrable motivation to get into work and succeed from a young age will be invaluable to us as business and will contribute to the skilled workforce of the future.

The name Iken is derived from the Scottish verb "to ken" meaning "to know". Related to the adjective "canny", describing someone who is wise, perceptive and incisive, we want to help you to be cannier. Iken software has been developed to help you and your team extend your "ken" by having exactly the right information at hand precisely when you need it.
